Hi, I'm Melissa.
Hi, I'm Melissa.
Originally from New York City, I received my BFA in photography from School of Visual Arts (SVA) and moved to Israel shortly after graduating (2015). After working as a freelance photographer for three years, I began looking for a career change with a more structured and collaborative work environment. When I learned about UX/UI, it felt like a perfect fit and I immediately enrolled in DesignLab’s UX Academy.
As a photographer, I have always aimed to create images that educate, specifically in regards to the Holocaust. Through my work with Holocaust survivors, I gained a lot of experience with research and conducting interviews. These skills, along with an emphasis on empathy and accessibility, are crucial to my work as a UX designer. I enjoy problem-solving and believe that every product should have a smooth and enjoyable user experience.
When I’m not designing, you can find me reading, binge-watching a new Netflix show, finishing another jigsaw puzzle or researching my family genealogy.
